Chapter One: Introduction

1.1 Background of the Study
Energy conservation is a global priority to ensure sustainable resource use and combat climate change. In Zaria LGA, Kaduna State, awareness of energy conservation remains low, despite its critical importance. Public Relations (PR) campaigns can raise awareness, educate the public, and promote behavior changes essential for conserving energy. Leveraging traditional and digital communication platforms, PR can foster a culture of sustainability and responsible energy use in the region.

1.2 Statement of the Problem
Limited awareness and inadequate communication strategies hinder energy conservation efforts in Zaria LGA. This study examines the role of PR in promoting energy-saving behaviors and driving community-wide adoption of conservation practices.

1.3 Objectives of the Study
